KPMG’s Audit Committee Institute (ACI) conducts a national roundtable series twice each year (Spring and Fall) to facilitate the exchange of views and insights on topics of interest to members of corporate boards, audit committees, and senior management.

CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS
The NACD Corporate Directors Institute has accredited this program to provide two continuing education credits (CDEs) for those who hold the Certificate of Director Education. Additionally, continuing professional education (CPE) credits are available to participants, although state boards have final authority on the acceptance and determination of individual course credits.

This roundtable is an update on key audit committee challenges and leading practices. There are no prerequisites and there is no advanced preparation required for this event.

Spring 2009 Audit Committee Roundtable Report
This new report from ACI recaps hot topics and key survey findings from KPMG’s 29-city Audit Committee Roundtable Series. Information quality, risk conversations, board culture, and compensation risks were front-and-center.

Fall 2008 ACI Roundtable Series Report: Recession, Balance Sheet, Risk Top Audit Committee Agendas
This is a two-page summary of key audit committee challenges and issues discussed at ACI's 30-city Audit Committee Roundtable Series, which concluded in December. Themes and survey results in this report focus on audit committee oversight of Recession, Balance Sheet, Risk as top Audit Committee Agendas.

Who Attends Our Roundtables?
ACI roundtables typically attract 2,000-plus participants in more than 30 cities across the U.S.—including board and audit committee members, CFOs, CEOs, chief auditors (internal audit), corporate counsel, and other senior level professionals. Attendees represent public companies and organizations of all industries and sizes. Nearly half of attendees at ACI's Roundtable series represent companies with annual revenue exceeding US $1 billion.

Prominent Cosponsors and Panelists
Roundtables are held in conjunction with local KPMG member firm offices and prominent law firms, universities, and corporate governance organizations. Roundtable panelists and keynote speakers include audit committee chairs of leading organizations, auditors, attorneys, and other luminaries in corporate governance.

Engaging, Interactive Dialogue
ACI’s roundtables are highly interactive, with panelists and participants driving much of the discussion. Technology-enabled surveys allow participants to share their views anonymously and in real-time during the roundtable discussion.
